Why Must This Story Be Read? This is an AU fic that takes place post SS, where Rukia is saved from execution, and she and the others go home to Karakura, and Rukia is powerless. The writing is gorgeous; soft and aching, and the pace is slow, but not lagging. It's a beautiful, sad alternative to what happened in Bleach, and it's definitely worth reading.

Why Must This Story Be Read? This fic is, hands down, one of the best Hitsugaya fics ever written. The characterization is of Hitsugaya is spot on, and it's in essence fan-written Hitsugaya backstory fic. The development of Hitsugaya as he goes through the Academy is really interesting and - again - spot on. The characterizations of Matsumoto and Hinamori are also lovely, and the original characters are well-written and alive. There's a wonderful thread of interaction between all the characters and Hitsugaya; the relationships feel real. Definitely read it if you're a Hitsugaya-fan. I'd even say, please read it even if you aren't.

Why Must This Story Be Read?
I'm a fanfic snob, not gonna lie. But seriously, guys? Seriously? I honestly don't think there has ever been a writer who could make fic as hot as writerx75. Her characterization is spot on, her dialogue is superb, her sex scenes somehow make you feel like you're actually in the scene with the boys (not in a self-insert, retarded way). This series is set in separate Acts, each able to stand on its own and only taking about 6-7 pages. Though the Acts are separate, they start to build a little on each other, especially as we've gotten further along. Nine Acts so far, the last one involving camera sex. My personal favorite has to be the ear-piece phone sex in front of a mirror Act, though. Mmmmm.

This is a brilliant piece that expands the brief bits of Noitra and Tesla's relationship in the manga to a darkly satisfying romp. There's no smut to be had, but the detail of Tesla's reactions and Noitra's philosophy is wondrously engaging.

Why Must This Story Be Read?

Luppi and Grimmjow have a gorgeous tension throughout the Bleach series and this piece is one of the few that really captures the essence of it with a generous side helping of sexuality. Luppi's wonderfully smug throughout, with just the right amount of cruelty in all of his actions and Grimmjow is an excellent foil for him in this story, positively full of vitriol.

Overall, it's hardly an arrancar epic, but if you're in the mood for a little bit of angry, tension-laced foreplay, this might be right up your alley.

Why must this story be read:

I find this fic as one of the best fanfic out there, in any fandom I’ve been. Renji and Byakuya made a habit of drinking together and commiserating over their unrequited love. Byakuya, because of Hisana, and Renji because of Rukia. After they got drunk, things, well, got interesting. Only they didn’t know how to interpret the progress of their relationship. This fic focus is more on Byakuya’s character, and how his character oh so slowly changed over time even as he struggled against it. Most of it because of simple things in daily life like breakfast and paperwork. It’s amazing how Celeste could make a conversation about pastries as one of the most profound conversations in Renji and Byakuya’s life. It’s also very delightful to see Byakuya’s interaction between Rukia, Ichigo, and his nephews.
